Multi-Sensory Tutoring for Math
A remedial math program for students in grades 1 to 7 who are struggling to understand basic math concepts, including those identified with the learning disability, Dyscalculia.  One to one instruction is offered for the winter and spring 2009 sessions.  more info

Multi-Sensory Group Tutoring for Reading
A unique program for students aged 6 to 10 with severe reading difficulties (including Dyslexia) based on the Orton-Gillingham approach to remediating reading disabilties.  This program uses all the learning pathways to the brain (including visual, auditory, kinesthetic and tactile) simultaneously in order to enhance memory and learning. Maximum 4 per group. more info

Summer One to One Tutoring
Trained tutors work one to one with students aged 7 to 14 to improve their literacy or math skills. Any student who is at least one year behind in reading, writing or math achievement is eligible for this program.  more info

Transitions to Secondary School 
A program designed to assist students entering grades 7 to 9 with learning disabilities and/or ADHD make a successful academic and social transition to secondary school. Topics covered include self-awareness, self-advocacy, note-taking and writing strategies, organization and study skills.  more info

Steps to Success: Self Advocacy Training for Youth
A program for students aged 11 to 16 with Learning Disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Disorder that teaches self-advocacy skills essential to success at school and in life. Students must understand their learning differences and be able to speak out and communicate their needs to teachers. This program teaches these important skills which give students a sense of self-awareness and confidence. Maximum 6 per session  more info

Keyboarding Program
A unique one to one program that uses multi-sensory techniques to teach touch-typing skills to students aged 8 and up with written output difficulties. We use the “Typeright” method developed by the Eaton Coull Learning Group.  more info

Real Reading Tutoring Program
Trained tutors work one to one with students to develop their reading, comprehension, writing, and spelling skills.  For children aged 7 to 13 that are at least one year behind in reading and/or writing achievement.  more info
