Become a Donor

The LDA Fraser South (LDAFS) does not receive any core government funding or support. We rely primarily on the support of our members, individual and corporate donors, foundations and government agencies to sustain our resource centre and valuable programs and services. Your assistance is essential to our ongoing commitment to meet the needs of children with learning disabilities and/or ADHD and their families.

Your support will help to maintain essential activities such as:

Office Administration - the LDAFS receives more than 2,000 enquiries annually and provides direction and support to many families in our community.

Quarterly Newsletter - Our chapter newsletter provides important current information on learning disabilities and current programs and services.

Programs and Services - we currently offer the following programs:  Monthly Information Seminars, Advocacy Training, Transition to Secondary School Program, Keyboarding, Multi-sensory Group Tutoring, Real Reading one to one Tutoring, etc.

Library and Resource Centre - we lend books, videos and other materials on Learning Disabilities and Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder.

Advocacy - we provide public awareness about learning disabilities by facilitating and participating in events such as conferences, information fairs, school district Board meetings, and networking with both parents and school administrators. We also provide “Supporting Your Child’s Special Education” advocacy training workshop for parents and “Steps to Success” advocacy training for youth.

Our Website - the maintenance and continued development of our informative web site. Thanks again to the Warm Hearts Charitable Foundation, the employees of Terasen Gas for the funding for phase I of our new and improved website!
